Anyway, while at my grandmother's house I picked up an old
copy of "Moment Magazine" (a favorite of Jewish grandmothers
everywhere) that had an article entitled "Is Star Trek Jewish?"
Among other revelations, it claimed that Worf's adoptive parents were originally supposed to be Orthodox Jews, but was changed because it made Worf appear too "wimpy."  He was given Russian parents instead, evidently because they are more macho, I guess.
